Business Analyst

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering business requirements, analyzing data, and facilitating solutions to improve organizational processes and enhance business performance. This position requires a blend of technology and business acumen to understand and solve complex business challenges.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, define, and document business requirements.

• Analyze business data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Create reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

• Develop clear, concise, and actionable business requirements documentation (e.g., BRDs, user stories, use cases).

• Review and assess current processes, recommend optimizations, and implement solutions that reduce costs and enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.

• Develop process models and maps to visualize business workflows.

• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.

• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and business trends.

• Participate in post-implementation reviews to assess the success of projects and identify lessons learned.

• Assist in the design of business solutions and facilitate communication between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

• Prepare and maintain documentation such as business requirements, process flows, use cases, change requests and user stories for project reference.

• Conduct testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements and specifications and provide support during the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phase, documenting feedback and ensuring issues are resolved.

• Assist in training end-users and ensuring smooth adoption of new systems or processes.

Candidate Job Profile

• BSs in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role, preferably in the insurance industry.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).

• Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).

• Knowledge of Agile methodology and software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Excellent communication skills, both in Greek and English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.

• No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens).

Will be considered a plus

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are a plus.
