Insurance Data & Reporting Specialist
We are looking for looking for a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Data & Reporting Specialist to join our Product Development and Analytics division, specializing in property insurance.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will possess strong business knowledge in property insurance, both retail and corporate business. In addition to technical expertise, this individual will have solid analytical, statistical and insurance knowledge to contribute to data-driven decision-making processes across various business functions.
Main Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data structures within databases to support efficient data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all property insurance-related datasets, including portfolio, claims, reinsurance, and products performance data.
Generate and maintain regular reports on portfolio performance, claims data, and churn rates, highlighting trends and potential risks via insights and metrics.
Support the annual budgeting process by providing projected figures for the technical result (e.g., premiums, claims, underwriting profit/loss, loss ratios).
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, pricing and actuarial teams to ensure that forecasts and projections align with business objectives.
Collaborate with IT, Underwriting, Finance and Actuarial teams to support the monthly closing process for property insurance financial figures.
Support and collaborate with pricing team to develop the existing pricing.
Candidate Job Profile
BSc or MSc in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science Computer Science, or related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., actuarial credentials) or relevant data science certifications are preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a data analysis or data science role within the insurance industry, particularly in property insurance.
Strong knowledge of SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills both in Greek and English.
No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens).
