In case you need hospitalisation in one of the Associated Hospitals in Ethniki Asfalistiki's network:

• Contact your Insurance Intermediary or Ethniki Asfalistiki’s Call Centre directly at (+30) 210 90 99 000.

• Inform us about your need for hospitalisation and ask any questions you may have about the process.

• Check your insurance policy to know exactly the type and terms of your insurance coverage.

• Arrive at the hospital of your choice and look for the registration office.

• Ask for Ethniki Asfalistiki’s consulting room (if available in the hospital you have chosen).

In order to perform all necessary steps for your admission to the hospital, you must bring with you the following documents:

• Your ID card

• Your Insurance Policy Number

• A doctor’s diagnosis describing your condition and the reason for your admission to the hospital

• Copies of pre-admission tests related to your condition

• Your Social Security Number or the number of your contract with another Private Insurance Provider so that you can benefit from their contribution to your hospitalisation costs, under the terms of your contract

In case you need hospitalisation in a Non-Associated Hospital:

• Contact your Insurance Intermediary or Ethniki Asfalistiki’s Call Centre directly at (+30) 210 90 99 000.

• Inform us about your need for hospitalisation and ask any questions you may have about the process.

• Check your insurance policy to know exactly the type and terms of your insurance coverage.

• Arrive at the hospital of your choice and look for the registration office.

• Make sure that you have your ID card with you and state your Social Security Number or the number of your contract with another Private Insurance Provider, so that you can benefit from their contribution to your hospitalisation costs.

As soon as you leave the hospital, you will need to pay the cost of your hospitalisation and medical fees, and then we will take care of your ex-post compensation in accordance with your insurance policy. Before leaving the hospital, make sure that you have received the following documents:

• Notes of hospital admission and discharge. 

• Original receipts and invoices for the services provided (doctors’ fees, medical examinations, doctors’ opinions, medical history, invoices for special consumables, etc.).

In case the hospital you have chosen is not associated with your Public Insurance Provider, you need to submit your hospitalisation costs to them first.

• Make sure to receive the original receipt for your contribution to the total cost of your hospitalisation.

• Make sure to keep photocopies of the receipts for your hospitalisation expenses.

Provide your Insurance Intermediary with all the documents related to your hospitalisation, as listed in the previous tab, along with the following:

• Special document “Notice of claim under Individual Insurance Policy and Bank Account Deposit Statement”

• Photocopy of your bank account booklet, or a printout from Internet Banking, or a printout from one of your bank’s branch offices

In case the total costs exceed €15.000, you need to provide also the following:

• Photocopy of a valid ID card or passport

• Photocopy of your latest tax clearance certificate or a utility bill (phone, electricity), showing your tax ID number and address

In case you need hospitalisation in one of the Associated Hospitals in Ethniki Asfalistiki's network:

• Get informed about the terms of coverage under your group contract from the company you work for or from the information leaflet you have been provided with.

• Choose one of the Associated Hospitals by calling the Ethniki Asfalistiki Call Centre at (+30) 210 90 99 000 or by searching among the Associated Hospitals in the Ethniki Asfalistiki's network.

• Schedule an appointment at the hospital of your choice.

• Ask the hospital whether they have a contract with your Main Insurance Provider (Fund) and inquire about the process you need to follow in order for the Fund to cover part of your hospitalisation costs.

Inform the hospital’s registration office that you have a group contract with Ethniki Asfalistiki. In order to have your hospitalisation costs covered by Ethniki Asfalistiki and your Fund, you must have the following documents with you:

• Your ID card

• Your Social Security Number

• Your Insurance Policy Number

In case you need to visit an outpatient clinic or a hospital’s emergency department due to illness or accident:

• Contact your Insurance Intermediary or Ethniki Asfalistiki’s Call Centre directly at (+30) 210 90 99 000.

• Find the Associated Hospitals in Ethniki Asfalistiki's network that provide services under the Full Emergency Care Plan.

Note: In case the nearest available Associated Hospital is located more than 30km away from the insured person, ex-post coverage may be provided for emergency treatment in another hospital nearby.

When checking in to an outpatient clinic or the emergency department of an Associated Hospital in the Ethniki Asfalistiki's network under the Full Emergency Care Plan, you will need to state your Insurance Policy Number.

As soon as the emergency care and treatment process in an outpatient clinic or in the emergency department of an Associated Hospital is completed, the payment of the related costs will be undertaken directly by Ethniki Asfalistiki up to the maximum limit stipulated in your insurance policy. You will only need to pay the amount corresponding to your deductible. If the hospital you have chosen offers free emergency care for insured customers with hospitalisation coverage (individual or group), then depositing your deductible amount is not required.

Contact us at (+30) 210 90 99 000 and follow the recorded menu’s instructions to get in touch with the Coordination Centre and ask for any information you need regarding:

• The network of doctors and diagnostic centres

• Areas in which diagnostic tests are performed

• Medical advice

• The coverage of the plan you have chosen

• The option of having your tests pre-approved in order to save time

• Scheduling your appointment for the required diagnostic tests or the preventive or prenatal screening you want to perform

Inform the Diagnostic Centre’s reception desk about your need for diagnostic tests or preventive or prenatal screening.

In all cases, you need to bring your ID card with you.

In case of diagnostic tests, other than preventive or prenatal screening, you also need to bring your doctor’s referral, which should include the following details:

• Your full name

• The relevant medical diagnosis

• The specific diagnostic tests to be performed

• The date the referral was issued

• The doctor’s stamp certifying their specialty

Before leaving the Diagnostic Centre, ensure that you have settled any co-payment or additional costs.

A qualified, authorised partner of Ethniki Asfalistiki will be by your side, at no extra cost, to help you cope with the first difficult moments after the accident.

Our qualified partner will:

• document the circumstances of the accident;

• photograph the vehicles involved;

• draw up a rough outline of the circumstances of the accident;

• collect the details of any witnesses;

• help you to complete the Amicable Settlement or the Accident Declaration forms correctly and finalise the accident notification and declaration process.

Once you have completed the Amicable Settlement Form correctly and it has been checked by the competent department of our Company, we will initiate the indemnification process without waiting for 5 days to receive a reply from the insurance company involved. If you wish to report an accident by appointment, you may call (+30) 210 90 99 000 so that we can agree on the date and time you would like an authorised Accident Care partner to come to your place to help you complete and to collect the Accident Declaration Form.

Note: In order to sign the Amicable Settlement Form, the insurance companies involved must participate in the Direct Payment System (DPS).

If your vehicle is grounded due to an accident, the Accident Care partner will make sure to notify the respective services that your vehicle needs to be towed/moved to a local auto repair shop.

For this to happen, your contract must cover local towing following an accident or roadside assistance.

To repair your vehicle, you may choose to have it transferred to one of the auto repair shops cooperating with Ethniki Asfalistiki and enjoy unique benefits such as:

• Direct payment of the repair costs for your vehicle from Ethniki Asfalistiki to the cooperating auto repair shop, in case you are not responsible for the accident or in accordance with the coverage plan stipulated in your contract;

• Guaranteed quality of repair works in certified auto repair shops;

• Quick repair;

• Possibility to have your vehicle repaired with new spare parts at full cost, without wear-and-tear deduction (for vehicles up to 5 years old);

• Provision of a replacement car in case the repair takes more than 2 working days or the amount of repairs exceeds €600.

Note: Apart from the auto repair shops cooperating with Ethniki Asfalistiki, you may contact any other auto repair shop you choose in order to have your vehicle repaired.

If you do not contact the Accident Assistance service immediately on-site, you must report the accident to Ethniki Asfalistiki within 8 days of the incident by completing, signing, and submitting the Amicable Settlement Form or the Accident Report Form, attaching the following documents:

• Consent Form for the Processing of Personal Data (G.D.P.R)

• A copy of your vehicle’s registration certificate

• A copy of the driver’s license of the respective driver

You can send the forms and documents for the accident report to Ethniki Asfalistiki using one of the following methods:
