Role Overview

Ethniki Asfalistiki is seeking a Data & AI Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Data and AI Management, Governance and Artificial Intelligence initiatives within Business Units. The role ensures alignment between business priorities, data and AI governance principles, and technical implementation, enabling the successful delivery of scalable data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI-driven solutions.

Working closely with business partners, Data & AI teams, IT departments, and governance functions, the Project Manager ensures that data and AI initiatives are delivered efficiently, within scope and timelines, while supporting the organization’s broader strategic objectives and data transformation efforts.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of Data & AI initiatives, from planning and scoping to implementation and delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise data & AI strategy, architecture, and governance standards.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables with business and technical stakeholders, balancing operational and strategic needs.
• Lead the delivery of data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI solutions aligned with business goals.
• Act as the main coordination point across business units, Data & AI teams, IT, and external partners, ensuring effective communication.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for data engineers, data scientists, BI, and governance teams.
• Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues.
• Drive adoption of data and AI solutions across the organization, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, data quality standards, and policies.

 

Candidate Job Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in managing data, analytics, or AI-related projects within complex organizations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, data, and IT functions.
• Understanding of data & AI management frameworks, analytics environments, and data governance principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data platforms, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of data/AI pipelines, data architectures, and AI/ML project lifecycles is an advantage.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project).
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate complex initiatives and manage priorities.
• Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken).
• No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens).
