Senior Consolidation and Reporting Accountant
We are seeking a finance professional with expertise in group consolidation and external reporting
Role overview
This is a pivotal role in the Financial Services team, leading the preparation and delivery of high-quality consolidated financial reporting to the parent company of the Group. You will play a key role in supporting the company through a period of transition and change, acting as the go-to technical expert for consolidation matters.
Main Responsibilities
Support the monthly book closing process and ensure accuracy and compliance
Prepare the monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation package for submission to the parent company of the Group in line with IFRS requirements
Perform consolidation adjustments, elimination of intercompany transactions and balances
Review key financial items to analyse significant variances and anomalies, and provide supporting analysis for major balances and reconciliations
Participate in the preparation of interim/annual statutory reporting under IFRS and Greek GAAP
Liaise with auditors to facilitate audits
Drive reporting accuracy by ensuring timely delivery of financial schedules, reconciliation, and supporting documentation
Champion continuous improvement by identifying and implementing financial control enhancements and reporting process improvements
Candidate Job Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in similar position
Proven experience in reporting
Advanced Excel skills plus comfort with financial reporting tools
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, SOEL)
Excellent organization skills, with ability to manage a dynamic workload under tight deadlines
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Collaborate effectively with finance teams to ensure consistent group reporting
Excellent communication skills, both in Greek and English
No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens)
Will be considered a plus
Experience within the insurance /banking sector, or in a Big 4 Accounting firm
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP)
Basic knowledge of IFRS 17 and/or IFRS 9
